Warwick School has a large and thriving Sixth Form community, with an enterprising and aspirational ethos.
The majority of our pupils progress into the Sixth Form on completion of their GCSE studies and are joined by pupils from other local senior schools and, in some cases, beyond.
We have a shared Sixth Form Centre for Warwick School and King’s High School, providing space both for private study and opportunities to socialise together (whilst almost all teaching remains single sex within the schools). This truly offers the best of both worlds – same sex education, yet a flourishing and integrated social space.

Our academic offering is exceptional, with 27 A Level subjects, thereby providing a wide choice for pupils whatever their interests. Academic standards and expectations are very high. In 2025, 54% A Level grades were awarded at either A or A*. Our outstanding list of university destinations speaks for itself, with many pupils progressing onto Oxbridge and other top Rusell Group (and Russell Group Plus) universities. Pupils are assisted every step of the way and those applying for competitive universities and / or for competitive courses will take part in our innovative Assessment and Interview Pathway: a programme designed to facilitate successful applications to the UK’s leading universities. Our dedicated Sixth Form team ensure that expert help is available to guide pupils through the university admissions process.
As well as outstanding exam results, and excellent university destinations, we pride ourselves on providing a thorough academic enrichment programme to all our pupils. This includes talks (such as our Encounters programme), trips and a wide-ranging activities programme. The EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) programme at Warwick School is outstanding: in 2025, 77 pupils submitted projects, with 80% of submitted projects being awarded an A*/A.
Our careers service goes beyond the advice that you would expect in terms of choosing universities and courses, running many events to help pupils with their future after Warwick School, such as our highly successful Mock Speed Interviewing Event, our bi-annual Careers and Universities Fair, and our business lunchtime talk programme.
Warwick School has an outstanding reputation for its co-curricular activities and pupils are encouraged to take part in their chosen activities whether music, drama, sport, our Thrive Friday Afternoon Activities Programme, or a balanced combination of them all. We take the mental health of our Sixth Formers very seriously, ensuring that there is an excellent well-being provision for all of our pupils, with access to counselling, mentoring and coaching in our Wellbeing Hub.
Academically and pastorally, we support pupils in a range of ways, including dedicated Sixth Form academic clinics for all subjects and small tutor groups with experienced tutors, who guide pupils through the transition to Sixth Form and help with university admissions. We have developed a highly effective system to ensure that pupils are thoroughly monitored, enabling them to fulfil their full potential. This is reinforced by exceptional A-Level results and the fact that many of our pupils flourish when they leave Warwick School.
I do believe that it is our focus on every individual that makes the Sixth Form experience at Warwick so special. We take a great deal of pride in working very closely, not only with the pupils but also with their parents, in order to ensure that our pupils are happy and achieving as much as they possibly can.
