The Sixth Form Difference

The Sixth Form Difference

Warwick School has a large, thriving Sixth Form of over 300 pupils.

We welcome applications at this 16+ entry point where both current Warwick School pupils, and joiners from a wide range of state sector and independent schools, flourish in our academically and pastorally supportive environment.

We offer A Levels in 27 different subjects, and our Sixth Formers in Years 12 and 13 continue to be involved with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities in music, drama, sport, and more while they complete their studies.

Our aim is for the young men who leave Warwick at the end of Year 13 to be of good character and who are confident, not arrogant, and capable of making a positive change in the world, both now and in the future. These young men exemplify the values of Warwick School, and we are proud of each and every one of them.  This is facilitated through the school’s commitment to character education, in particular its Floreat Proramme. In addition, there are many opportunities for Sixth Form pupils to become leaders within the school community, whether that be through prefectship or participation in our innovative Warwick Voice initiative.

Welcome

Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form

Warwick School has a large and thriving Sixth Form community, with an enterprising and aspirational ethos. The majority of our pupils progress into the Sixth Form on completion of their GCSE studies and are joined by pupils from other local senior schools and, in some cases, beyond.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

Our structure allows pupils to learn in the single-sex classrooms that they have known throughout their time at Warwick and to socialise and study with their neighbours on the Warwick Campus at King’s High School.

There are also opportunities to collaborate with our other Foundation schools, including the sixth formers from The Kingsley School on our Leamington Campus.

The basis of the Sixth Form experience at Warwick is a structured academic programme. All pupils are encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their own work ethic. A range of exciting, engaging careers events and activities, including our varied Pathways programmes, prepare pupils for university or the world of work.

By developing confidence and independence, pupils at Warwick School Sixth Form achieve excellent results and become future-ready for their next step. We aim for our pupils to leave us as confident, not arrogant, young men, who will have a positive impact on the world both now and in the future.
