Speech and drama plays a valued role within our co-curricular programme. Through LAMDA, pupils work towards graded qualifications across Acting, Shakespeare, Musical Theatre, Speaking Verse & Prose, Reading for Performance and Public Speaking.
why LAMDA matters
LAMDA qualifications are widely recognised and are included within the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). For older pupils, LAMDA Medal examinations also carry UCAS tariff points, ensuring that their work is formally recognised within the application process for higher education.
Beyond the qualification itself, the programme helps pupils:
- Build confidence through creativity
- Communicate with clarity
- Develop a strong sense of self presentation
These skills support pupils throughout their academic studies and remain invaluable as they move on to higher education and future professional life.
