On Friday last week, our GCSE Music cohort from Year 11 visited Jaguar Land Rover in Gaydon to learn about how qualifications in the arts (and music) can be put to use in the engineering industry.
Our boys were excited to explore how speakers get positioned and tuned to give a premier listening experience, see how Digital Audio Workstations are used to create the sounds for electric cars accelerating and understanding how testing is completed in a unique anechoic chamber.
It was a thoroughly interesting afternoon, and we are grateful to JLR for all their work in putting such an interesting afternoon together; much food for thought as our boys consider their A Level choices!
