Over the course of the summer many boys have continued to play cricket representing their club, county and this year country!
Gianluca (Year 13) represented Italy U19 at the two week World Cup qualifiers in Guernsey. He was awarded man of the match twice, including in the final which Italy won against Sweden. As a result, Italy U19 have been promoted to the first division and will play in the First Division European World Cup qualifiers in Holland later in June 2027.
Closer to home Xavier, Arthur, George (all Year 9) and Waris (Year 7), have all played for Wellesbourne U13s in the ECB T20 National cup and have now reached the final. An amazing achievement in itself, but the icing on the cake is they will get to play at the prestigious Lords Cricket Ground, the home of cricket, in the final this Saturday. We all wish them the best of luck.
Well done to everyone else who has played representative cricket this summer. Please let Mr. Withington and Mr. Francis know how you have got on.
