Living away from home is a significant step for any young person, and our experienced boarding team plays a central role in helping every boarder settle, grow and thrive.
A skilled and deDIcated team
Warwick School’s boarding house is run by a dedicated group of staff who create a warm, structured and supportive environment where pupils feel at home.
The boarding provision is overseen by the Head of Boarding, Mr David Bull, who brings more than ten years of experience living and working in boarding communities. Under his guidance, each house is managed by a skilled team who ensure the smooth running of daily life and the wellbeing of every pupil.
House Parent team
Each boarding house has three residential staff:
House Parents
A resident couple who are responsible for the overall running of the house. They lead the day‑to‑day life of the community and report to the Head of Boarding. House Parents are a constant presence and know each boarder well.
Assistant House Parent
Working closely with the House Parents, the Assistant House Parent helps ensure the health, safety and happiness of every pupil. A member of the residential team is on duty every day and available 24 hours a day in case of emergency.
House Supervisor (Matron)
Supporting the residential staff is the House Supervisor, often known as Matron. They play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the house, liaising with the team of housekeepers who work tirelessly to ensure the cleanliness of the house.
Boarding tutors
Boarding tutors, drawn from the teaching staff, are assigned to each house to support its evening and weekend routine. They:

- – are available to assist pupils with their studies, and
- – help run the wide programme of activities and trips offered each week.
A skilled and committed team

All members of the boarding team, including residential staff, matrons and tutor, are first aid trained and bring many years of combined experience in working with boarding pupils.
Their commitment and teamwork help ensure that every boarder can make the most of the opportunities available at Warwick School.
