For children who are currently at Warwick Junior School, we will be here to guide you through the whole process of preparing for the move to the Senior School.
Life in the Senior School brings vast new experiences such as new subjects and teachers, a greater need for independence and organisation and new systems and routines with which to become familiar.
As boys move into Year 5 and Year 6, we have a programme of events which mean boys in the Junior School are able to get to know the Senior School in the same way as those boys who are considering Warwick from other schools. This includes taster days and open days.
For parents, we continue to provide regular opportunities for you to learn about your child’s academic and pastoral progress, whether through face-to-face meetings or written reports.
As always, the Headmaster is always available to meet with parents regarding the transition process. Events such as the Open Days and breakfast meetings also allow parents to learn more about life in the Senior School and the pastoral and academic support available.
At the start of Year 5, we will contact all parents of children who are moving up to the Senior School to outline to them what to expect over the next two years. You are more than welcome to book a place at any of our events such as open days as well.
All Junior School boys will sit the entrance exam in the autumn term of Year 6 – academic scholarship shortlists will be based on the performance of both external and internal candidates in these exams.
