Warwick School offers a wide variety of extracurricular clubs with the majority of them included within the termly fees. However, clubs which require pupils to be taken off site, such as clay pigeon shooting and golf, will not be included within the termly fee.

Whilst the majority of boarders are full boarders, if there is space we would be happy to discuss the options available, however the youngest we take in the boarding house is Year 9 pupils.

Yes – subject to the good conduct and progress normally expected of a pupil, and an annual means test re-assessment.

The school will notify you when you are required to provide new information about your income in preparation for the next school year. We ask that you tell us about any changes that will significantly affect your current financial circumstances in the meantime.

There is no absolute limit on the number of discounted places for pupils because the levels of financial assistance vary from child to child. However there is a limited amount available and this is therefore allocated based on means testing, the results of the entrance examination, previous school reports, and interview.

Each child is assessed on individual merit and cannot be guaranteed a place by virtue of having a sibling already at the school.

We try to ensure that uniform costs are kept as low as possible. Uniform can be purchased from Clive Mark, the official uniform shop in Warwick Town Centre.

There is no sibling discount available at Warwick Schools Foundation schools.

We request that pupils with a special education need, submit an educational psychologist’s report (EP report) as part of their application.

Any granted access arrangements will based upon the recommendations within the report, as well the considering necessary evidence of the pupil’s way of working within their current educational setting.

For Year 7 entry, approximately 60% of the pupils come from other schools.

Approximately three weeks after the exam you will receive an email either offering a place or confirming that the application has been unsuccessful.

The offer email, will detail the terms and conditions of the offer, any applicable financial assistance along with instructions on how to accept the offer.

Offers are valid for up to two weeks from the date of the email.

The assistance is provided on a graduated scale; therefore small changes in your income will have a correspondingly small effect on the assistance you receive.

The school looks to assess whether the pupil will be able to cope with the standard and pace of work. At 11+ the pass level is broadly equivalent to SAT level 4 and above.

In addition to sitting entrance assessments, all pupils are interviewed. This enables us to ensure that Warwick School is the right place for a child and that they will flourish.

Step 2: Submit an application

Our online application form is easy to complete, and the link can be found here: https://www.warwickschool.org/apply

Upon submitting an online application for a day place, a non-refundable registration fee of £120 (£100 plus 20% VAT) is required for payment.

We also request a copy of your child’s long birth certificate and school report, which should be attached to the application.

Warwick School accepts all major credit cards, as payment for registration fees for both day and boarding places.

Step 3: Entrance Assessments

Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to arrange the entrance assessments. The assessments will take the best part of a morning and the admissions team will ensure that your son is well catered.

Step 4: Outcome of Assessments

Following the assessments, the admissions team will provide the outcome via email. If your application is for a mid year place, we will endeavour to update you as quickly as possible.

Step 5: Acceptance of offer:

Upon receipt of an offer of a place, you will have two weeks to accept the offer.

To accept an offer, you are required to complete and return the acceptance form and pay a £500 deposit. The deposit will be retained by the school until your child finishes his educational journey with us. The deposit will then be returned to the original payee, subject to any monies owing to the school.

Following receipt of the acceptance form and payment of a deposit, the Admissions team will then contact you with school joining information.

Should you wish to decline your offer, please inform the Admissions department, as we do operate a waiting list for most year groups.

Bursaries are financially means tested. Warwick School offers 2 different bursaries: CV34 bursary (available only to those who live within the CV34 postcode) and Foundation bursary (available only to those who live outside of CV34).

All Bursaries are offered at Y7 and sixth form entry only and are subject to household income assessment by third party BAA.

The financial threshold for a CV34 bursary is £99k and for a Foundation bursary the threshold is £69k. If your income exceeds this amount, you will not be eligible for a bursary. Income includes, assets, savings as well as household earnings.

Scholarships are offered in Y7 and Y12 with the opportunity of a music scholarship only in Y9.

Academic scholarships are offered to those pupils who perform well in the entrance examinations for Y7 entry.

A small number of academic scholarships are offered for Y12 entry based upon GCSE results.

All Rounder and King Henry VIII (CV34 postcode only) scholarships are offered at Y7 entry, with pupils expected to perform exceptionally well in two subjects from: Art, Music, Sport or Drama.

Music Scholarships are offered at Y7, Y9 and Y12 entry. Pupils are invited in for an audition if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Pleae note that Warwick School does not offer a specific sports scholarship.

Candidates who apply for entry at 11+ are required to take an exam which consists of three papers, two of which are maths, English.

Whilst the deadline for 11+, 12+ and 13+ applications is in October, we would recommend that you apply well in advance of your child sitting the exam in the November.

Examination details are sent out from the October before the November examination.
